About the Position: 
ESA is currently looking for an Archeologist in our Southern California Cultural Resources Group who is proficient with CEQA, Section 106, and NEPA (preferred). A successful candidate would bring experience with writing environmental document sections, cultural resources technical reports, and carrying our cultural resources field projects. ESA has offices located throughout the region. 

Responsibilities: 

�⒠� Preparing cultural resource studies in compliance with CEQA and Section 106 
�⒠� Preparing cultural resources sections for CEQA and NEPA documents including Initial Studies, Neg Decs, MNDs, and EIRs/EISs/EAs 
�⒠� Preparing Phase I and II Cultural Resource Assessments for compliance with CEQA and Section 106 
�⒠� Consultation with SHPO in compliance with Section 106 of the NHPA 
�⒠� Archaeological resources survey and resource documentation (DPRs) 
�⒠� Familiarity with built environment resources is a plus 
�⒠� Assessing site significance under CEQA/ NEPA and designing relevant mitigation measures to avoid significant impacts 
�⒠� Proposal writing and limited marketing responsibilities 


Requirements: 

�⒠� Master�⒠�s Degree in Archaeology and at least 5 years of professional experience, or Bachelor�⒠�s Degree in Archaeology or Anthropology and at least 7 years of professional experience 
�⒠� Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) preferred 
�⒠� Experience with CEQA and Section 106, and NEPA preferred 
�⒠� Computer literacy with Word, WordPerfect, and Excel, and familiarity with GIS (preferable)
