Field School Description Learn about Historic Archaeology via the full Immersion Method. Study the remains of the past in the shadows of the architecturally significant Late 1700s and Early 1800s buildings of Old Town St. Charles. Study the history of one of the earliest settlements west of the Mississippi River through its history, archaeology, and architectural history. Become part of the tourist attraction of this popular eating and shopping district. Tourists will be welcome to view our excavations as they happen. You will both learn about archaeology and educate the public about this important field of research.
