This field school is a continuation of When Two Worlds Collide that focused on the indigenous people and their culture. The second week of the field school will transport students across the country and literally across civilizations to the Columbus settlement (1494-1496) at La Isabela. A known shipwreck lies off the settlement and students will assist in dating the site and preparing the previously recovered Columbus era artifacts for future exhibition.
